The Reproductive Cells

The largest cell in the human body is the female egg. What’s the smallest cell? The male sperm. Funny how that works!

Proportionality

When you’re a baby, your head is about a quarter of your body length on average, but as you become an adult your head only shrinks down to about one eighth of your body length.

Transportation System

There’s a lot of things that you hear about the human body and it’s just hard for you to wrap your head around the math of it, this might just be one of them. So, the average human adult has blood vessels that add up to a total length of 60,000 miles. Yes, you read that right. SIXTY THOUSAND MILES! Unreal

Watch Your Bite

So, this might sound a little obvious to you, but just about every bone and every cell in your body is capable of repairing itself except for one thing. Your teeth. Your teeth are incapable or repairing themselves. Unless you’re under age 8, where they can regrow, after loosing your baby teeth. But yeah, basically your teeth can’t fix themselves.

Look Into The Eyes

You probably have been hearing myths about the nose and ears all your life and by this point common sense may have debunked them. But here is another that sounds like a myth but isn’t, your eyes are the same size your whole life.

That Lightbulb That Goes Off

So, you hear that your nerves send electric signals and stuff like that, but it’s true your entire nervous system is some sort of electric system. However, your brain is basically a lightbulb, well, it doesn’t function exactly like one but, your brain emits up to about 10 watts of energy. So, when someone says “that lightbulb went off in my brain”, they might mean it literally.

Positions Positions

The way you position your body will help determine how you’re able to effectively remember something. For, example, if you were laying down watching a movie or something and need to remember more details about the movie, try laying down in the same place and position you were while watching that same particular movie and you will be able to remember more than if you are up right somewhere else.

Hairiness

According to scientist, the evolution process occurs in a way to benefit the specie. For example, humans have a tail bone at the end of the vertebrae because it is believed that our first monkey ancestor had a tail but all the tail bones went away because we don’t need a tail anymore. Same goes for hair, scientist have found no evidence that we don’t need to have any hair at all, besides eyebrows though, which help prevent sweat from the head from getting into our eyes.

Ear Wax

When you think of earwax, you think of something gross and disgusting that you constantly have to clean, just something that serves absolutely no purpose. Well, you’re wrong. Earwax actually helps protect your ears from infection, bacteria, and traps dirt from entering your ear canal, but every now and then you might have excess which is secreted from rinsing your ears.

A Woman’s Scent

You hear that women are better at remembering scents than men are. But guys, don’t too down about it. As a matter in fact, the human nose, and brain of course, is able to keep a memory of over 50,000 different scents. So, even something you smelt when you were a 2 years old, you would have a deja vu moment of the scent.

Adrenaline Rush

So, once me and my buddy were walking down the city near campus when we saw a car crash that flipped the car sideways and a woman was trapped trying to get out through the drivers window. My buddy rushed at the car and he was able to tilt the car just enough to get the woman out. My buddy could not even bench 135lbs suddenly had this super strength.

Scientist say that this is due to an adrenaline rush that can cause us humans to have “super powers” such as speed, strength, and high tolerance to pain.

Memory and Neurons

You ever wonder why it takes you longer to remember some things than it does to remember other things? Well, that’s because of where the information is stored in your brain and the neurons that transport that information. Neurons all transport information at different speeds and depending on where information is stored will make you remember something fast or slow.
