And finally at number one, the SAS have grown to set the bar for nearly all Special Forces in the world. Training is grueling with even some recruits dying as a result. Only about 10% make it, and are recruited only from other branches of the British military. That said, the end product is an elite force which has proven it’s ability to do everything, from end an embassy stand-off to rescue hostages being held deep in the African Jungle.
